ESG AND IMPACT REPORT 2024/25

At Kuramo, we have always believed in the power of inclusive growth and in reimagining what capital can truly achieve. We see Africa’s potential, its promise—and we believe women must be at the center and the forefront of fulfilling it. That belief inspired the launch of the Kuramo Foundation for Sustainable Development, and with it, the Moremi Accelerator Program (MAP). It was our first step in addressing a structural gap, and in doing so, we sought to lead with both conviction and care. MAP reflects our enduring commitment to gender-lens investing, marketdriven solutions, and systems change.
We adapted Kuramo’s pioneering A-B-C-D Framework: Accelerate, Bridge, Catalyze and Develop—originally developed for our fund-of-funds strategy—and used it to build the Moremi Platform, with the Accelerator as its first pillar. In just under two years, Moremi has supported over 40 first-time, female-led funds. Four have reached first close, and collectively, they have mobilized over $300 million, with 86% of investments directed to women-led businesses to date
